Hot mode uses a spiral heater and a high-pressure pump for a concentrated coffee with aroma and crema. Cold mode brews without the usual hot-water extraction – ideal for iced drinks.

For the coldest result, fill the tank with cold water and brew straight over ice. The machine does not refrigerate the water itself.

Inside the machine

Rapid heating, steady pressure

A spiral heating system brings the water to temperature in roughly 35 seconds, while the pump keeps the pressure stable through the whole extraction.

Anti-dry protection and an automatic shut-off after about 15 minutes of inactivity add peace of mind.

Care and safety

• Let the adapter and used capsule cool before removing them.
• Rinse the adapters and ground-coffee filter regularly; empty and wash the drip tray as needed.
• Descale periodically according to the instructions and your local water hardness.
• Never open the brewing compartment while the machine is operating, and never run it without water.
• Never immerse the machine, cord or plug in water. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
• Use a cup no taller than about 9.5 cm (6–8 fl oz cups work best); most tall travel mugs will not fit.
• There is no milk frother: use milk capsules or add separately frothed milk.
