Everything in the kit: molding powder, casting stone, mold containers, paints, brush, demolding stick, sandpaper and instructions

What's inside

What's included?

  • Alginate molding powder × 2 (60 g for the hand, 120 g for the foot)
  • Casting stone 170 g × 2
  • Hand mold container and foot mold container
  • Paints × 2 and a paint brush
  • Demolding stick and sandpaper
  • Step-by-step instructions

Please note: each kit includes enough materials for 2 castings. We recommend one hand and one foot, or two hands. For the most balanced display, one hand and one foot is the combination we recommend most.

Who it's for

Made for newborns up to 9 months

The kit is designed for newborns up to 9 months old. To get the clearest, most detailed cast, cast while your baby is within this age range.

It also makes a thoughtful gift for new parents, for a baby shower or for grandparents who want to remember how tiny the little one once was.

Good to know

Is it safe for newborns?

The materials are non-toxic and hypoallergenic, and made for use with babies' skin.

The process is gentle and simple: you place your baby's hand or foot in the molding mix for a few minutes, then take it out before anything hardens. The mix washes off easily with warm water and soap.

How to use

No experience needed. No stress. Just a beautiful result.

The 4 steps: mix the molding powder, insert the hand or foot, pour the casting stone, break away the mold

Everything you need is already inside the box, along with clear step-by-step instructions that guide you through every stage.

1. Pour and mix the molding powder

Everything is pre-measured. Pour the molding powder into the container and mix.

2. Place the hand or foot in the mold

Gently place your newborn's hand or foot into the mold and let it set, about 3 to 5 minutes.

3. Pour in the casting stone

Take the hand or foot out, pour the casting stone into the mold and wait for it to harden. This takes around 30 to 45 minutes, but it is best to wait until it is fully hard.

4. Peel away and unveil

Break away the mold and unveil your sculpture. In under an hour, you'll have a permanent sculpture of those tiny hands and feet.

Did you know?

Freeze this moment before it's gone

Twenty years from now, this will still be displayed in your home, right where you can see it every day. A lasting reminder of just how tiny they once were.

Their little hand. Their little foot. Every crease, every curve, every detail preserved exactly as it was during those early newborn days, before they grew and changed.

It goes faster than anyone warns you. This is your chance to hold onto just how small they were.

The problem

My baby won't stay still. How is this going to work?

That's what every parent thinks before they try it. You only need your baby to stay still for a few minutes, not the whole process.

The molding mix sets fast. As soon as it turns blue, you're done holding the pose. No fighting with a wiggly baby for 20 minutes: just a couple of minutes of staying still.

Time it during a nap, after a feed, or whenever your baby is calmest.

Key features

A real 3D sculpture, not a flat print

Many parents choose an ink print kit or a flat imprint kit because they seem quick and easy. Ink prints can smudge, blotch and fade over time, and flat imprints miss the fine lines and creases that make your baby's hand and foot so unique.

  • 3D keepsake: something you can hold in your hands.
  • Fine detail: every crease, every curve, every tiny fingernail.
  • A real memory: a lasting piece to cherish, not just a print.
  • Made to display: on a shelf, a mantle or in the nursery.
  • Made to last: for years to come.

Questions people ask

Is it really as easy as it sounds?

Yes. Everything is pre-measured and ready to go, and the step-by-step instructions are clear enough to follow even in those exhausted newborn days.

How long does it actually take?

Mix the molding powder, place your newborn's hand or foot in the mold and wait 3 to 5 minutes for it to set. Pour in the casting stone and wait for it to harden, around 30 to 45 minutes. Then peel away the mold and unveil your sculpture.

Can I paint or decorate it?

Yes. The kit comes with pearl and gold paint, so you can personalise your sculpture straight out of the box. If you would like other colours, acrylic paints work well on the casting stone. Some parents keep it simple and classic in white, others add a personal touch with colour.

When can I paint it?

Let your casting dry for 3 to 5 days in a well-ventilated area before you paint or decorate it. This makes sure it is fully set and avoids any risk of mould or mildew forming.
