Memory foam · Raised side bolsters · Two heights

Aligns Your Neck and Spine in Every Sleep Position

This contoured pillow cradles the natural curve of your neck, gives it proper support and helps keep your spine aligned while you sleep. The lower center keeps your head and neck in line when you lie on your back or front. The raised side bolsters fill the gap between your ear and shoulder when you lie on your side. One pillow, made for side, back, stomach and combination sleepers.

The problem

For side, back and combination sleepers who are tired of waking up stiff

Ordinary pillows are often filled with microfibre or other soft materials that tend to fall flat when you lie on them. You know, like those hotel pillows you need three or four of just to feel supported.

And the standard pillow shape isn't made for the natural line of your spine, neck and head. A back sleeper needs a pillow that slopes up gradually. A side sleeper needs one that is higher in the front and slightly lower in the back, to fit the shape your shoulder and head make together. Some pillows suit side sleepers and others suit back sleepers, but rarely does one pillow suit both.

How it works

The “weirdly” shaped pillow

The contoured shape is made to keep side, back and stomach sleepers aligned, and every combination of them.

  • Center contour: keeps your head and neck in line when you're on your back or stomach.
  • Raised side bolsters: fill your shoulder gap when you sleep on your side.
  • Front-to-back slope: the back gradually slopes down to follow the natural curve of your head and neck.
  • Roll from one to the other: if you sleep on your back and your side, roll from a side bolster to the center contour and stay aligned in either position.

Key features

It's not just about the shape

Fibre or down would not hold the shape, so the pillow is made of high-density memory foam, for a balance of comfort and support.

  • Not too hard: it doesn't press on your ear.
  • Not too soft: it keeps holding up your neck.
  • Not too hot: a cooling bamboo cover sits over the foam.
  • Just right: firm enough to hold your head in place, soft enough to sink into.

Size

Standard or Thick? Find the right fit for your body and sleep style

Size guide comparing the Standard and Thick pillow heights by body height and sleep position

Standard: 3 in center, 4.5 in sides

Best for all sleep positions if you are under 5 ft 9 in (175 cm), stomach sleepers under 6 ft 2 in (188 cm), back sleepers with a smaller frame under 6 ft 2 in, and side sleepers under 5 ft 9 in.

Thick: 4 in center, 5.5 in sides

Best for side sleepers over 5 ft 9 in (175 cm), back sleepers with a standard to larger frame over 5 ft 9 in, and stomach sleepers over 6 ft 2 in (188 cm).

Not sure?

Standard suits back sleepers and mixed sleepers best, and works for most people. Choose Thick if you mostly sleep on your side, are on the taller side or have broader shoulders (a wider gap between your shoulder and your neck).

Who it's for

Made for side, back, stomach and combination sleepers

Combination sleepers

Move all night and keep your support. Most pillows are one height all the way across. This one has two heights built in: a lower center for back sleeping and raised side bolsters for side sleeping, so you can roll from your back to your side without losing support.

Side sleepers

Fills the shoulder gap that flat pillows leave open. The raised side bolsters support the space between your ear and shoulder to keep your neck and spine in line. A gentle downward slope toward the back follows the natural shape of your head and neck, unlike “cube” pillows that are flat all the way across.

Back sleepers

Supports your neck at its natural angle. A gentle upward slope along the contour raises your neck gradually, instead of pushing it into the angles a flat pillow creates. The memory foam holds your head in place through the night and eases pressure points.

Stomach sleepers

The low profile stomach sleepers need. The lower center keeps your head close to the mattress, so your neck isn't pushed upward the way a tall pillow does. The gradual slope keeps your head and neck in a more natural position, with soft support and no extra bulk.

Care

A cooling bamboo cover that comes off for washing

The cover is woven from soft, cooling bamboo rayon that helps you stay cool through the night. It comes off for washing, so keeping your pillow fresh is simple.

  • Cover: machine wash cold with like colours on a gentle or delicate cycle. No bleach or harsh detergents. Line dry only and let it dry completely before use. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
  • Foam core: do not wash. If needed, spot clean gently with a soft sponge and a little mild detergent and water. Do not wring the foam. Blot with a dry cloth and let it air dry completely.

Questions people ask

I'm a side sleeper. Will this work for me?

Yes. The pillow is designed with side sleepers in mind. The raised sides are shaped to fit your shoulder gap, and the pillow slopes down toward the back to follow the natural angle of your head and neck.

How is it different from other neck pillows?

The contour keeps your head in place and supports your neck both from side to side and from front to back. It also has no “wings” on the sides. Wings get in the way and leave the sides unusable to sleep on, so those pillows offer only one height. Here, both the center and the side bolsters are made to sleep on, which suits people who change position during the night.

Which size should I get?

For most sleepers, Standard works best. If you are on the taller side (above 6 ft 2 in, 188 cm) or have a wider shoulder gap, choose Thick.

What is in the Comfort Bundle?

The pillow plus a pillow protector that zips over it, with a stain-repellent finish and a waterproof lining.

How much does it weigh?

Both heights weigh about 3 lb (1.4 kg).
