A Grounding Mat That Disappears Under Your Bed Sheet

This conductive bed mat lets you stay grounded while you sleep, much like standing barefoot on grass or sand. It straps onto your mattress, sits quietly under your fitted sheet and connects to the earth contact of a grounded wall socket. Many people find it an easy, relaxing addition to their evening routine.

The idea

Indoors, we rarely touch the ground

Most of us spend our days in shoes and our nights in bed, far from bare earth. Grounding (also called earthing) is the simple practice of reconnecting with the earth's natural surface charge.

The mat links you to the earth contact of a grounded socket through a cord and plug. No electricity flows into the mat – it is a passive connection that works while you sleep.

How to set it up

Ready in about a minute

1

Strap it on

Lay the mat on your mattress and fasten it with the adjustable elastic straps.

2

Connect the cord

Click the coiled cord onto the mat's snap connector.

3

Plug into the earth port

Attach the grounding plug and insert it into a properly grounded wall socket.

4

Make the bed

Pull your normal fitted sheet over it and sleep as usual. You can leave it connected permanently.

Works through your bedding

Stay grounded all night

The mat is designed to go under your fitted sheet, so you keep your own bedding and the bed looks exactly as before. Direct skin contact is not needed – it works through natural-fibre sheets and pyjamas.

Your whole body does not have to lie on the mat. As long as part of you touches the area above it, you stay connected. A larger size simply gives more contact area if you move around at night.

Why people like it

✓ Invisible under your normal fitted sheet

✓ Thin and breathable, with small ventilation holes

✓ Adjustable straps keep it in place all night

✓ Use it lengthwise or across the mattress

✓ Easy to wipe clean and built to last

✓ No batteries, no power use, no maintenance

Comfort

Will it make me feel hot?

The mat is thin and perforated so air can move through it, which helps avoid heat build-up. Because it lies beneath your sheet, most people do not notice it at all once they are in bed.

For the best connection, use sheets and sleepwear made of natural fibres such as cotton, bamboo, linen, wool or silk.

Choose your size

Four sizes for any mattress

Size chart showing the grounding mat in small, medium, large and XL on a bed
  • Small: 60 × 165 cm (24" × 65") – single sleepers
  • Medium: 90 × 185 cm (35" × 73") – single sleepers who want more room
  • Large: 120 × 195 cm (47" × 77") – a generous contact area for most beds
  • XL: 140 × 205 cm (55" × 81") – larger mattresses or maximum surface

Mat or sheet?

Why choose a bed mat

A grounding mat works with the bedding you already own and can stay installed permanently. It is easy to clean and tends to last longer than a grounding sheet, which has to be washed and replaced like normal linen.

A grounding sheet feels softer and replaces your fitted sheet. Both connect you while you sleep – it simply comes down to personal preference.

Good to know

  • Only use the plug in a properly grounded socket. If you are not sure, check it with a socket tester or ask a qualified electrician.
  • The plug connects only to the earth contact, not to the live wires. The mat does not use or emit electricity.
  • Many people use it nightly as part of a calm bedtime routine. Experiences differ from person to person – results vary.
  • This mat is a wellness product, not a medical device. If you have a medical condition, a pacemaker or another implanted device, or are pregnant, talk to your doctor before use.
