Measure the girth and front chest as shown. The girth measurement is the most important, while the front chest is secondary.
The chest straps are fully adjustable so the harness fits snugly on your dog. Do not over-tighten the straps: when fitted correctly, the harness should be snug, but you should be able to slide one finger comfortably between the straps and your dog.
The suggested breeds are a general guide. For the best fit, measure your dog's girth and front chest and compare them with the size chart.
