Make thieves skip your car

This steering wheel lock locks your steering wheel to the seatbelt buckle, so no one can steer the car away. It is the steering lock you'll actually use: it takes seconds to put on, it is bright enough for a thief to see from across the street, and it is compact enough to live under your seat or in the glovebox.

How it works

3 reasons a thief walks past your car

1

He sees it from 20 metres

The bright sleeve can be seen through tinted windows, even at night, before anyone touches the door.

Braided steel cable looped through the steering wheel and down to the seatbelt buckle

2

If he can't steer it, he can't drive it away

A 5 mm braided steel cable runs through the wheel and locks into the seatbelt buckle.

3

He can't just unclip it

The lock head covers the buckle's release button, so no one can press it. Only the key gets it out.

The problem

Put it on tonight. Wake up to your car.

The morning everyone dreads: glass on the road and a gap where your car was.

How to use

On in 5 seconds

Step 1: looping the steering lock round the wheel

1. Loop it round the wheel

Step 2: clicking the lock head into the seatbelt buckle

2. Click it into the seatbelt buckle

Step 3: the wheel is locked and cannot be steered

3. Can't steer, can't drive

Taking it off: key in, turn, off. Then it slides into the glovebox or under the seat.

Questions people ask

Can't they just unclip it from the seatbelt?

No. Go for the release button the way you would to get out, and you'll find it covered. Only the key gets it out.

Can't they just cut it?

Yes. A grinder will cut it, and so will a blade through the steering wheel. Any lock can be beaten with tools and time. Its job is to make a thief decide your car is not worth the bother when the next car has nothing. From the footpath, yours means getting tools out.

Does each lock have its own keys?

Yes. Every lock comes with its own set of 3 keys, cut to one of 10,000 key combinations.

Could it damage my car?

No. The steel is soft-coated and won't mark your wheel. Nothing is wired in.

Will it last?

It is 5 mm braided steel with a soft coating, a class B lock cylinder and an ABS plastic cover over the buckle.

Is it easy to unlock?

Key in, turn, off.
