Breaks side windows · Cuts seat belts · Reusable, no batteries

Break the Window. Cut the Belt. Get Out.

This 2-in-1 car escape tool is made to shatter tempered car side windows with a spring-powered tungsten steel pin, and to cut a jammed seat belt with a protected blade. Instead of relying on the strength of a hammer swing, it concentrates force onto a very small point of the glass. Press it firmly against a tempered side window until the internal spring mechanism activates and shatters the glass. It also comes with tempered test glass, so you can feel how the mechanism works before you ever need it in a real emergency.

The problem

Imagine being trapped after a crash

The car frame is crushed. The doors won't open. The windows are locked tight. Smoke is filling the cabin, and your heartbeat pounds louder with every breath.

Did you know?

Modern cars are safer than ever, but also harder to escape

Shatterproof glass is almost impossible to break

Modern car glass is designed to absorb energy and resist shattering. It protects you in a collision, but it also makes it harder to get out. Even trained rescuers struggle to break it without the right tool.

Electronics can fail after impact

When the crash sensors trigger, many cars cut electrical power to prevent fire. Windows freeze, central locks jam and electronic handles go dead, which can leave you trapped inside at the most critical moment.

How it works

A small tool for a big emergency

Cutaway view of the spring-loaded tungsten steel pin inside the car window breaker

Breaks glass instantly

The tungsten steel head does the work, so no strength is needed. When you press the tip on a side window, the spring-loaded pin hits the glass on one tiny point with concentrated force.

Hand using the recessed seat belt cutter to cut through a car seat belt

Slices seat belts in seconds

A razor-sharp blade cuts through a seat belt in an instant. The built-in cutter gives you a fast backup escape when the buckle won't release.

Where to use it

Accidents can happen in a flash

Trapped in wreckage

When the car is bent, upside down or the airbags have gone off, there is no room to swing. This tool only needs a firm press.

Car sinking in water

The mechanism is fully mechanical, with no battery or electricity, so it also works under water.

Test it before you need it

It includes test glass, so you can see how it works and feel confident using it in a critical moment. Press it on the test glass once at home to feel how firmly you need to push and how the spring releases.

Key features

Every second matters in an emergency

  • Shatters windows instantly: a spring-loaded tungsten steel pin, no swing needed.
  • Always within reach: includes a car mount for quick access.
  • Reusable and never expires: fully mechanical, with no battery, no charging and no single-use cartridge.
  • No special skills required: press it on a side window and it does the rest.

Keep it somewhere secure, fixed in place and easy to reach from your seat. The included holder keeps it in position. Many people also keep it in a latched centre console, on their keychain or in an overhead sunglasses compartment. Avoid keeping your only one in the boot, or anywhere that may be hard to reach after an accident.

Questions people ask

How is it different from a regular car safety hammer?

A regular safety hammer needs enough space, strength and control to swing it against a window. In a real emergency that may be difficult: people may be injured or unable to move freely, the car may be bent after a collision, the airbags may have gone off, the car may be upside down, or there may not be enough room for a good swing. This tool is simply pressed against a tempered side window until its spring-powered tungsten steel pin activates. No swinging, and very little space needed.

Is it reusable, and does it need batteries?

It can be used multiple times, it is completely mechanical, and it needs no batteries or charging. The window-breaking mechanism does not rely on electricity or a single-use cartridge, so there is nothing that can run flat when you need it.

Does it work under water?

Yes. The spring-powered mechanism is entirely mechanical and does not depend on batteries, electricity or a swinging motion.

Can I just use the headrest instead?

It is better not to rely on a headrest. In most cars it is tough to remove, and even then you need to swing it with a lot of force at just the right angle, which is even harder under stress or when injured. Modern tempered glass is designed to withstand impacts, so attempts with a headrest often fail or waste precious seconds. This tool only needs a firm push, even in a tight space.

Is it safe around children?

It isn't set off by a button or a light tap. It needs a firm push against a hard surface to trigger the mechanism, which makes accidental use by small children very unlikely. For extra safety, keep it in the front of the car, such as the glove box or centre console: out of reach of children, but easy to reach in an emergency.

What should a good car escape tool have?

It should be easy to use in a confined space, work on tempered car glass, be within reach after a collision and include a way to cut a jammed seat belt. Spring-loaded window breakers have an important advantage because they do not need a swinging motion. This one combines a spring-powered tungsten steel window breaker and a protected seat belt cutter in one compact, reusable tool.

Good to know

  • It is made for tempered car side windows: always press it against a side window.
  • Try it once on the included test glass, so you know how firmly to press.
  • The seat belt cutter blade sits recessed inside the tool to reduce accidental contact with the blade. Put the caps back on after use.
  • Keep it fixed in place and within reach of your seat, not loose in the car or only in the boot.
  • Keep it out of reach of children.
